Default ITR lower control arms

So I have a 96 spec JDM ITR, and we all know how the JDM ITR's have a little bit of a differant setup when it comes to the lower control arms. My question is, would I be able to swap a pair of regular EG type LCAs when I get my new suspension? Thanks for the help.

Are you talking about front or rear? If rear then JDM setup = 88 Civic / 97-01 USDM ITR spec. You can run 92-5 Civic/94-01 Integra (excl. R) rear LCAs as longest you use shocks that are fork style for those cars.

I never really understood why the ITR's had different rear LCA's.

They may have been lighter due to stamped steel vs. cast iron.

I read somewhere that it slightly increases negative camber.

^^ Nice post,

Also the EG LCA's do not have the hole for the sway bar.

I wonder how that is being they have the same pivot points.

I have read this, based on that it is slightly longer and result in "more - camber"

I have also heard read that it may be the upper control arm that was changed on the JDM 98+ arm. It is different than the US ones. It looks more like the aftermarket ones. (I got this off the Best motoring itr legend video with the spoon guy talking)

The rear LCA, although designed differently, keeps the exact same geometry between USDM and JDM, including the 92-95 UDSM Civic.

And yes, the 98 spec JDM ITR has a different rear upper control arm. I always heard that it slightly increases camber (is shorter), but some say that it retains the same geometry. Regardless, it is different.
