How much power can a stock R18 hold?

That remains to be seen. There was one that was trying for 300whp. Sadly, this was before Flashpro and the tuning software was shady at best. That car ended up with issues. Couple that with shitty mechanic work, and you have yourself a perfect storm. but now that the solution is out, I think things may run a lil smoother. Granted the block doesn't crack. I heard that was an issue with the R18.

i have heard it was able to hold 320whp before changing the cams and the pistons, and they i started to hear that with anything over 10lbs of boost i will run into problems with the tranny!

320whp im not sure, as of right now i am one of the ones pushing the R18 the hardest currently at 276whp/249 wtq @ 9 psi on a 5857, what turbo you looking to run ? also i highly advise against anything above 300whp on stock internals. as my mounts are shot from 241 whp when i was tracking before i upgraded to more power. anything over 10lbs of boost and you need the 4bar map sensor from hondata specifically for the R18, have to call and order. Although right now i am doing a full upgrade and fully building the R18 full internals and all. CP piston makes the pistons for the R18 and Pauter makes the rods. Rest is all custom ordered from supertech and hypertech. Tranny holds up fine as well as stock clutch.

i would say stock R18 can hold 300 whp max

it should nothing changed except maybe ECU and flashpro might not be compatible. Just like how FP doesnt work for the new 2012 Si, although they are working around the clock to get it to work.

It can. The only issue I see with it is the stock header. It's a cast in.

False. Its the exact same as previous R18s the header is a bolt on 4 bolts.

Ok. So it's just the 2012 Si with the funky looking header connection?

I'm pretty sure the R18 has always had a cast-in manifold.

Clutch masters / Competition clutch. Max boost on stock internals depends the turbo, im assuming since the TSI kit its going to be a gt25 which i would say 14 psi, 16 psi pushing it, member blew at 16 psi on a hot day. if u can get the head studs why not.

2012 SI now has a plastic intake manifold and no vtec profile on the exhaust cam. but thats irrelevant the R18 SOHC remains the same.
Little update!

see in the picture only 1 exhaust outlet for the R18.

Perhaps I should put on my flame suit, but why are you looking at a turbo kit for your car. I don't want to get into purpose or intent, but non-si's were built for things other than raw power. Torque steer is no fun and the motors aren't built to handle boost. You're better off improving the handling and driving the car for its intended purpose.

From a logical point of view, If you want power, best to go with a different platform.

You sir are an ignorant illiterate retard. This is the R18 not K20Z3. ******* read the tittle of the thread before you spew irrelevant information.

Forced induction for the 2012+ R18 is currently useless without a proper tuning solution. Full-Race and Jackson Racing, however, has confirmed their 8th gen R18 setups to be compatible with the 9th gen.

If you don't buy a FlashPro, how do you intend to tune the engine ?
