A cam in a Y7? For what? No power to be made there.

i wouldn't bother with that. but if you really must have a cam spend the money on a y8 head swap. much better imo

Or you can not waste your money on a single cam and go straight to a B, H or even a K block.

No one said anything about D-series, or any single-cam not making any horsepower. Re-read the thread. A cam, without any other modifications, and no tune, is not going to do much of anything. This isn't a V-8 where you drop in a cam and make 50 horsepower.

i was referencing to virgineeg6. if you do want to do a cam, you better off pairing it with bigger valves, a higher flowing intake manifold, throttle body and an exhaust system.

He never said he wasnt going to get it tuned, he never said he wanted 50 hp from a cam, he never said he wasnt going to make any other mods.

some one did say dont waste money on single cam implying it was no capable.

some one did say no power to be made in y7.... u read the thread marc...

On the flip side, he never said he was actually doing any of those things and if he was he had plenty of opportunity to say so. When someone asks one thing then flip flops to something like "I am thinking a K series in the future but for now i just want something to toy with, being that i am a noob. y8 sounds like the way to go." it usually indicates they have no clue what they are asking. Who would try to build a Y7? It's a poor choice as a platform.

Yeah. I read the thread.
