I own a 1994 Del Sol Si, and I need to replace the interior door handles.

I found these on ebay and I'm wondering if these will fit in a 1994 model: http://bit.ly/onFjLU

I'm aware the ad says it fits 1996 and 1997 models. Has anyone tried this before? Just looking at the part, it appears it would fit, but I'd hate to waste money based on an assumption.

Here's what I found from www.hondaautomotiveparts.com:

Part numbers for 1994 inner door handles - 72160-SR2-A02ZA (driver side); 72120-SR2-A02ZA (passenger side)

Part Numbers for 1996 inner door handles - 72160-SR2-A02ZB (driver side); 72120-SR2-A02ZB (passenger side)

The part numbers differ by just one letter at the very end. Unfortunately, that doesn't tell me if it's incompatible, since the difference is most likely just the colored plastic. I think I'll just go for it, might as well. Unless anyone else chimes in that knows it won't work.

 

Given that the part numbers are not identical, I'd assume there's a reasonable risk for incompatibility.

 

they work i have them in my 94. the only difference between the 93-95 and the 96-97 handles is the color. 93-95 are gray and 96-97 are black.

Lock the thread, but yes they work.
I have both in front of me and definitely the only difference is Black vs Grey.

Majestic has them for a couple $ less.
