Default Valve Noise

I did my valve lash adjustment according to the guide lines I double checked everything by it is noisy still, not anywhere close to how it sounded, because t sounded like a deseil. I put the engine to TDC for cylinder 1 then rotated 180 degreese then did cylinder 3 rotated 180 degrees then did cylinder 4 then rotated 180 again and did cylinder 2. For feeler Hayes I used .010 in for intake and .012 in for exhaust. It still clicks and clacks not anywhere clOse to as bad but it is still there any other ideas on how to fix it.

I messed in the valve lash when doing my valve cover gasket set.

One of two things, you didn't have the feeler gauges perpendicular to the valves, or when you adjusted the lash it was done with the engine still hot. It needs to be cool, as the expansion of metals/parts will take up the lash as well.
If done hot then the lash is still too big, wait for the engine to cool, then recheck your lash.

I did it when the engine was cold. It didn't run for about 6 hours. And I do thing that I wasn't perpendicular for the intake valves. Those are hard to get to. I even bent the feeler guage to make it easier.

As Mike stated its best to fo them stone cold like overnight first thing in the morning. That said, depending on the wear and age of the engine, its quite common to have some ticking even when the valves are adjusted to specs. Remember the old saying, "to loose hear em, to tight smell em" Which means that to tight and your burning the valves. Better to have a little clicking and know thay your not burning the valves. Solid lifters are always going to be noisier than hydraulics.
