Default Valve Adjustment needed?

I just finished putting back my motor. When at TDC, the #1 piston, the 4 rocker arms should all have the "same looseness" to them correct? Because 3 of them have the same looseness feel and one of them feels kinda "tight".

What's the correct way to do a valve adjustment?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by each of them having the same "looseness." It's definetly a good idea to do a valve adjustment before you throw the valve cover on.

To do a valve adjustment, simply set the cyl you're doing to tdc, and then use a feeler gauge and adjust the clearance.

They should all have the same "looseness" when the cylinder you are measuring is at tdc. If you measure them with #1 at tdc, one or more cylinders will be off. You have to adjust each cylinder at tdc. www.c-speedracing.com Under the how-to section.
