Default z6 problem! Turns over but instantly shuts off, unless I depress the gas

I just recently swapped a z6 that I rebuilt into my hatch. It's running 75.5mm p29 pistons stock IM bisi valve train GSR tb... eBay headers etc.

When I turn the key it turns over but instantly shuts off, if I depress the gas a few times while turning the key it starts but I have to hold the gas to keep the motor running. I bought 2 used injectors off of eBay because 2 of mine had cracked tips. The seller told me they were z6 but you can never be sure.

I changed my cap rotor and wires, my plugs and fuel filter with no help. Cleaned my iacv no help. Rechecked my vacuum lines everything was in order.

I'm thinking if the 2 injectors were regular dx injectors that would cause my problem. But I wanted confirmation of this and also maybe a list of other possibilities that it could be. If anyone could help that would be great!

No CEL right now either... So I'm all out of ideas.

Thanks!

you increased the bore of the motor, so did you adjust the throttle body to allow a little more air at idle?

Does the CEL work?

Once the engine is running, does it run well without misfires?

Have you checked the mechanical timing?

Im running a bisi cam gear I took the cam gear off and made a TDC mark with a sharpie and reinstalled it was on point, the CEL does work I forgot to plug in the iacv and started the car and it came on. When I start the car and have my foot a little on the gas to keep it on at like 1.5k rpm runs smooth if I barely keep my foot on the gas it's pretty rough.

Was thinking my igniter was going out? I feel like my only option is the injectors... Also noticed the fuel filter has a small leak... Do both of the washers have to be on 1 side of the fuel line right now I have 1 on both sides... Maybe I don't have full fuel pressure?

I have the idle adjustment screw all the way in at the moment. That raises the idle so that was the way I chose to adjust it.

Also forgot to mention I'm running a stock p29 ecu.

I had a similar problem on my D15b with y8 head. Did you change ur ignition coil? That was what was wrong with mine. It was getting fuel, some spark, but apparently not enough, so it would die unless I press the gas. Try to change the coil.

Hmmm, that was one of the things that I was planning on doing next time I went to work on it, thanks for the heads up with your problem. I'll try it and see what happens.

Come to think Of it my tachometer has been actin funny it actually went all the way around and now the needle is under the stopper lol, doesn't the ignition coil have something to do with the rpm reading? That could be signs of it going out.

All these mods and you're running a stock ECU? Why?

Fuel isn't modified only thing that isn't bolt on is pistons?.... Nothing special, oh and valve train. Plus I'm more worried about car running right now. Stock ecu is more than enough for the mods that I have.

That's more than enough to warrant getting a socketted and chipped ECU. How do you figure that fuel hasn't been affected just because you haven't touched an injector or pump?

I'm wondering if the IACV is actually working.

Im sure my iacv is working. I know my fuel was affected because of raised compression but that isn't my issue at this point. I'm saying that a stock ecu will suffice for now. Why would I want to change settings when stock settings won't even work on a mostly stock motor build? Your concearn is warranted but it isn't my priority.

Do does anyone else think changing the ignition coil will help? My tach is all wacky and it's either lack of spark or fuel, I personally think the fuel is fine but like I said I'm out of ideas and I don't wanna spend 80 bucks on a new ignition coil if someone can debunk the idea lol.

Anyways, I got the car to remain running but its ROUGH on idle, finally got a CEL code 43 for fuel supply system. So I'm thinking they dude I bought the 2 injectors from didn't know what he was talking about and gave me to 170cc injectors from a dx/lx/cx/vx when I needed 240cc injectors... That could be a possibility, or....

Fuel pump? isn't there some screen on this that can get clogged or something I've heard? does anyone have any pictures of this?
Already changed fuel filter... Just fixed the leak, well I haven't notice any more leaks....
I've read that the o2 sensor being bad can cause this code? but wouldn't that throw the o2 sensor code too?

I've read all the code 43 threads I can find so any input on this as well would be appreciated :D.

The only time I have had a car start and then die right off was because of mechanical timing being off a tooth. I would put the stock cam gear on and make sure all is dead on.

I took my bisi cam gear off and lined up the stock one with it, made a TDC mark with a sharpie and put it back on, I guarantee its on point. The cel 43 makes me think right out that its my injectors. 2 of them are used from eBay and 2 of them are from my JDM d15b swap that I had prior to this swap, that motor blew. So I checked my fuel pump and it seems good and think I fixed the leak on my fuel filter.

I am using a z6 IM but im using the rail and 2 injectors from my jdm d15b, That's the motor that came with the car and I don't know the specifics on all of the parts that the dude used for that swap. I know that the guy was a junkyard ***** and got a lot from there including the old IM that he was using which was warped and leaked like crazy. I finally changed it out as a last resort and car passed smog with ease. But, like I said I don't know what rail he used nor injectors so I'm gonna do some research and see.

I'll keep everyone posted.
