z6 sputters on cold start only
hi guys, This civic 93 ex all stock, in the mornings when you start it fire right away but if you press the gas it sputters and then rev's. After it warms up the problem disappear until you let it seat for 4 or more hours.
New:
rotor
cap
plugs
wires
No CEL, I was to change the dizzy but want a opinion before bought it.

Yesterday replace it along with the injectors seals.
Car isn't my is from a young lady, so really I don't know the maintenance history. But have an ebay distributor and remanufactured IACV.

so for be secure I remove the IACV and cleaned it with carb. cleaner and now the car idle at 400rpm and if i press the gas pedal when let it off the car dies.
Try to let the ECU relearn the idle leaving it idle for a minute without touch the gas.

have you checked injectors? its either fuel or spark. I had an occasional miss and ended up taking off my fuel rail and cleaning my injectors.. it went away..
when it would miss I figured iut when I unplugged my #1 injector and it would go away, and yeah it was pretty filthy.

Yes I checked them by removing the plugs one by one.
Disconnect the battery a few minutes and the car relearn to idle.
I narrowed the symptoms to a faulty pulsation over start up, lead me to think in a bad TDC or CYP but the car not throw any CEL.
When the car not want to start I put the pulsation light tester and voila!!
I'm thinking bite the bullet and buy another distributor.
