bought my first prelude today. i have a few ?s
I just bought my first prelude today. It's a 1998 sh
It has a few issues that I would like to address
I believe the axle is bad it makes a clunking noise sometimes.
The steering wheel vibrates at speeds above 40 and pulls to the left.
This is my daily driver and I noticed there seems to be alot of road noise when driving is this pretty normal and are there anyways to reduce it?
I will post pics later tonight.
Thanks.

Congratulations on purchasing one of the finest handling cars for the money!
I'll be looking forward to those pics!
As to your questions:
Pulling is generally alignment.
Vibration at that speed is generally balancing
Road noise is generally going to be the type of tires
Axles should be easy, although I've never done them on an SH, they could be a bit more tricky because of the ATTS

yes its easy just be careful when you remove the axle from the transmission you don't pry and damage the seal for the transmission. It holds the fluid in for the tranny so it doesn't leak out the axle.
AutoZone has a life time warranty for their axles and I think they are around 90 bucks with your core traded in.
my car has road noise too, I need tires though. I just bought mine as well

I'd go ahead and replace the axle seal while you are at it. It's a bitch if they leak later, especially if the seal is pretty dry and you put the new dry axle in it then tears it and have to walk to the store to get a new one.

lol. ahh lets see here.. Your alignment for the car pulling to the left. And how stiff is your ride? That could be the problem for the noises. Also an unbalanced engine. And check your tire pressure too..
Well on the right in the picture.. But nawh you should trash it! People flake on v-tec controllers, hahah. If you still want one though Buddy Club is pretty good
