Here's the problem my car is still idleing after I replace the iacv. Check the plugs Everything seems to match so i know it isnt the plugs. Btw It's idling at 1.5. Just thought ill let you guys know. What might be the problem? And my motor is all stock, No mod or anything. Any info would help! Thanks

 

Check for vaccuum leaks around the hoses, iacv, and the intake manifold gasket

I'll check that today after work. And as for the cel I haven't got it check yet..

 

the only cel code that i got is the intake temp sensor? and its still idleing after i replaced
the iacv and the throttle body. this is the only code that i have pop up? IAT - intake air temperature sensor

 

Have you tried reseting the ECU? Did you get this new throttle body new or used? Did you check the idle screw? Did you actually check for a vacuum leak? Have you let it run for a few minutes to see if the idle goes down? A high idle for the first few minutes or so in cold weather is not abnormal.

 

what is the proper way to reset it? and no it was all used not new. and yes i've mess with the idle screw. and how do i check for a vaccum leak. and yes ive ran it for more then 5 mins and its still is idleing.

 

To check vacuum leak- remove the airbox and put your hand over the throttle body mouth. If the car continues to run, you have a vacuum leak. A large one. You can also spray carb cleaner/ether on hoses and manifold gaskets to see if they are leaking. If the idle is affected when you spray, you found a leak.

To reset ECU- remove negative battery terminal from post. Wait 10 minutes. Replace the battery terminal.

To adjust the idle, you must adjust it with the IACV unplugged. What happens when you unplug the IACV?

Also you could try taking off the airbox and plugging the hole for the IACV or FITV with your finger and see if it fixes your idle.

You fix a vacuum leak by replacing whatever is leaking. If it is a hose, replace the hose. If it is a gasket, replace the gasket. If it is a cracked manifold, replace the manifold.
