Default Rev/Fuel Cut-off setting

ok so the motor is a b18c with p72 head.,., my question is being that it has stock internals what is a safe rev limit for this.,,. i have it set at 8500 but dont know if i can get more out of it or if i should just leave it alone.,.,any suggestions???? car has I/H/E on a p06 converted to vtec with SST programable chip with s80 lsd tranny.,,.

valve spings and cams are your limiting factor, leave the limiter where it is.

I'd put it at 8.2k or so...no sense revving when ur not making power, i'd had quite a bit more work done on my old b18c1 and it didn't make power after like 7900-8100...don't remember completely since its been 2-3 years

i've notived all the hp charts rate it at about 76-8000 to be makin top power.,., also anyone know how i would find out which b18c it is i've notived 2 different hp ratings for the motor code which one is which

also one makes 197 and one makes 187 hp

Another key besides just revving til youre out of power is making sure when you shift youre in the optimal powerband and not dropping too low. With that said its hard to say without getting on a dyno...

So then would the head make the difference?? with it being a GSR p72 head??? with the type R being pr3?

JDM Integra Type R (B18C) has better cams and valvetrain, bigger throttle body, actual tubular exhaust manifold/header '98+, different ecu mapping, higher compression, hand blended bowls in the head, and an intake manifold better suited for higher rpms...

The JDM GSR (also a B18C) is just like a standard USDM GSR but with different ECU mapping and slightly higher compression pistons I believe...

So to answer your question, its probably a little bit of everything that helps bump up power...
