hey guys, hoping some of u can help me out here. i just rebuilt my motor from ground up. in the process, the mechanic installed a set of CTR pistons.

already price wise i was iffy but i figured since he was a friend, he was being truthful with me... i ended up paying them 900 $ .


my next problem is, im running a vortech supercharger. i brought the car to get tuned last nite and it seems impossible. compression is wayyyy to high. any idea what i can do or what has to be done in order to enjoy the car with boost??

Dude, your sitting at something like 12.5:1 compression. Probably the only way to keep this ratio AND boost would be to switch to E85 corn fuel. It's octane number is something like 105. With your motor tuned on this, it might just be doable. Just keep in mind your cars range will suffer considerably. E85 only contains about 60-65% of the energy of gasoline by volume. That means you have pump & spray a LOT more (35-40% more) E85 for any given horsepower level. Plan for more frequent trips to the pump.

To run this fuel, all you should have to do is upgrade your fuel pump and your injectors, and you should be set to tune.

BTW: If you have an EG civic with a small 11gal tank, you can always swap in the bigger 14gal tank from the Si or EX models. They are a direct bolt in.
