Engine light came on after mod.
Help me out guys
Alright ,I need some help here. A few weeks ago I put in a C.A.I (aurospeed). I had installed the intake but ,there was nowhere for me to connect the resonator chamber to the intake like the stock intake. (email me for pictures I dont know how to post them on here , the help button was no help at all) Inside the resonator chamber is a senser(vacuum senser I think thats what it is).So since there was no where for me to connect the resonator to the intake I just left it in the engine bay. When I turned on the car the engine light came on. Well today ,I was going to change the oil in my car ,and the service guy told me he could reset the engine light for me with a (obII i think thats what it's called) .The obII meter told us that it was that vacuum sencer. What do I do to get rid on the engine light? And what do I connect the vacuum sencer to? I have already tried reseting the ecu and that did'nt work. I also don't want to put the oem intake back on. I sure the pictures will help out . (facetoface123@yahoo.com)

dude i would have to drill a 1.50'' to 1.75'' inch hole in the intake and then connect the resonator chamber to it some how . i have never hear of people going to so much trouble to put in a intake
Probably got a "universal" intake. Its a cheap piece of **** and now you see why it was so inexpensive. Make the necessary modification as you stated above or get a quality product.

After I installed my Intake I had the same problem, later I found out that coincidently my egr valve control unit was bad. I recieved a letter from Honda stating that the emissions controls have an extended warrenty until 140,000 miles for certain Accords that were built with this defect. Also the person who "checked" your check engine light, might not have known what he is doing, so wire up your jumper wire and see what the ecu tells you. The jumper wire is up under the dash next to the right side of the glovebox it will be inside a green connector which wont lead to anything. The plug will be blue and only have two outputs so jump these two wires with an 18 gauge wire and turn your key to the on position and your check engine light will flash. *,*,* 3 flashes would be a map sensor, and
*......*,* one long flash and two short ones will be a 12 which is the egr valve components. Or any other number depending on the problem. I found out that NOBODY will diagnose your car like you can yourself!!! Especially a qualified Honda Technician, sometimes they dont know sh*t!
Sorry if you already knew about the connector but I hope I was able to help anyway.

yeah the temp is broken i have the replaysment for it but im to lazzy to but it in , even thow i know it's easy to do . i relly dont want to take the center consol and go throw all that . so the temp gauge has nothing to do with my engine problem i just dont understand what to do with the resonator chamber. "ESCOBAR" when you took off the resonator chamber what did you do with them hose that leeds to chamber ? did you plug it up? did you just leave it ? pictures of what you did would help alot. i just want the engine lite to turn off beacuse i wont know when a real problem happens. thanks for the help "FARROUT"
can you explain what "egr" i have my chilton repair manuel and i cant find anything on "egr" what does it do ? sorry i'm such a newbie to cars, but thats why i joined honda-tech.com so i can learn

The obII meter told us that it was that vacuum sencer.
You can unhook vac lines all day and it wont flash a CEL...it just runs like crap and the idle will jump.
When you pull the resonator out, plug the vac line with a screw and thats it.
damn, i've never seen anything so complicated. forget that crap.if it didn't come with instructions for your car or the shop where it was purchased can't help you, tell them you totaled your car and bring that ***** back.
Is the vacuum sensor that you talking about the little black box connected to the factory intake. If so, follow the hoase that goes towards the firewall and turns into a hard line. Disconnect the hose and put a cap over the hard line. Remove the box and hoses. I'm not 100% confident on why to do this, but that's what I did for my DC intake and everything is fine. Anyone to confirm or not that this is correct?
hey ,
i just bought the aem cai , it looks the same as the aurospeed(not the front mount one you all hate)one i have on know. i was thinking what i might have done wrong with my intake installation and why the cel came on! And still cant figure it out. o well . yeah the little black box that comes of the oem intake , i took off and the hose that was connected to the blcak box and leads to the fire wall has been caped off.
