Default Intake Check Engine Light

I put a AEM V2 intake on my s2k and the check engine light will not go off. I took it up to honda and they hooked my car up to the computer and the code was that I was getting to much air into my engine, like it wasnt reconizing my new intake. Anyways, they turned the light off and it came back on today, can anyone help? I heard when that light is on, your cars performance drops dramatically. And yes, my intake is installed right.

If it was installed right, you would not have a cel. You probably switched or forgot one of the two little vaccum lines.

Not everyone in here is as naive and ignorant as you and actually know there stuff. You wont fool many people, especially the people that frequent this forum.

No one was trying to be a smartass. When you think you installed everything right but still have problems, Hmm lets see well you didnt do it right. Also newbies are always treated harsh its a test.

So did you fix your problem?

ok so i like to talk a little smack, my bad. just having a good time. Its fun to see the comments people write you back. And the 11-12 hp...haha ya, well that was I was told in a honda import tuner mag, so thats why I said it. I am going to check the hoses, so i just basically unplug them and switch there spots and plug them back in.

You believed Import Tuner? If you "read" that in a magazine, why did you say you were going to post dyno plots?

Try again.

Yes try to figure out the vacum lines first. Also if you disconnected the sensor that was on the stock intake box it would cause a check engine light and if you let the sensor dangle the belt could have cut up the wires messing up the sensor.
