need ls tranny help hydro to cable swap
i have a 93 del sol and i want to put an ls b18 swap in it the car originally had a d16 hydro tranny and i have a ls cable tranny can i put the two together if i run a cable from the clutch pedal to the tranny and stuff or should i give up hope and try to find a hydro tranny to trade for a cable one
your best bet is to get rid of the cable transmission and get a hydro trans of your choice. that will save u the headache and having to buy extra parts
can i do it without buying the kit i was just gonna run a cable through screw in or bolt on eyelets like threading a needle stuck in a cushion and keep a good spring on the clutch pedal but idk if its possible
sounds like a great idea actually just go find an old da teg and rip the cable and mounts out doubt theyd charge a bunch for a cable and stuff too so hopefully it doesnt hurt my wallet
you'd probably need the pedal and cable. the trans already has the arm on it. the mount you won't need. the only one that will make it sit right in the sol is an aftermarket one. found that out in my research (i'm running a cable gsr trans). It's a pain in the ***. if your car still has hydro in it, then i'd suggest either sourcing a hydro trans, or selling the hydro conversion to me :p
