2005 Civic Si, Gross "Polluter"-- High HC at idle
Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum. My name's Garrett
I know there's a ton of smog posts all over this site and the rest of the internet, but after hours of looking, I still have yet to find something that matches my scenario. Any help is much appreciated!
2005 Honda Civic Si, 107,000 miles. Everything passed except the HCs at idle which are slightly above Gross Polluter status. See below:

The kicker: the previous owner bored the cat out without telling me, so there is currently a hollowed out catalytic converter (I used a "non-fouler" trick to get rid of the post-cat o2 sensor check engine light, so currently no CEL lights). Yes, I know putting a cat on will help, but the mechanic doing the smog told me even without a cat, the HCs shouldn't be nearly as high as they are. I'd rather not spend $500+ on a stock cat that would likely be ruined by such high HCs.
I just ordered new NGK spark plugs. What's next?
