Default No High Idle !! Why???

Since the temp has dropped my 98 d16y8 Civic won't high idle at start. If I don't keep my foot on the gas she shuts off. I keep my foot on the gas for 30 sec. and she low idles way low around 200 rpm.
Runs and Drives fine.

The iacv needs to be cleaned as stated above. As far as a bad cat/o2 sensor. Are you sure you replaced the correct sensor and what brand o2sensor did you purchase?

If you smell rotten eggs then it's gone. But I also think there's a tempeture inlet and outlet test you can do.

Clean or replace the IACV. Also if you can get the code that'd be better.

Now I may be confused but doesn't the fitv control the high idle on a cold startup? I thought the fitv allows more oxygen to enter the throttle body and raises the idle when the temp is low.

The 96's and newer don't have a FITV.
