Ok so like everyone else that shops for exhaust I started at youtube.. And unfortunately its just vid after vid of ricey trash. I'm looking for a muffler that's better flowing and lighter than stock, but I also want quiet. The quieter the better. Are there any on the market with like a super-silencer in them? or at least some with a deeper tone?

I personally have the rsr ex-mag on my 92 prelude with
an H22a and a test pipe and I love it, its nice and quite at idle but when you
get on it, it gives a nice growl good luck hope this helps

 

Im running a Vibrant muffler with a Apexi WS resonator and custom 2.5" piping and HFC. Love the sound when cruising, but when you get on it...it sounds even better. Youtube some videos on it.

 

Thanks for those vids. those are a lot better than the ones ive found. Does anyone know about borla mufflers on preludes/accords? I love the sound of them on other cars. do they sound that rich on a 2.2?

 

greddy spectrum elite especially if your car is a daily driver and it snows where you live. 4 years and 3 winters and the only rust if any were on the welds for the muffler hanger.

 

I have a Mugen twin-loop. And have nothing but good things to say about it.

Don't even look elsewhere. It goes through the muffler twice, so it's not ricey loud or raspy.

I had a 50-something year old guy in a Hemi Dodge Ram pull up to me at the light the other day and say "Hey man, I really like your exhaust." Enough said.

 

Ebay dual slanted 3" tip muffler. A straight thru cat that provides some muffling, then a resonator pipe to the muffler. Should have a nice sound. It's what I'm running. I had the 2 1/2 piping installed.

 

I have an oem RSX type S muffler and Love it. Very quiet idle and cruising only loud when you get on it.

 

Whatever you do, don't go 3" Loud as hell.
