Icon2 brake booster differences

Would a brake booster with ABS be different from one without?? I.E 92 prelude type S versus a 94 prelude type SI!!

Yes, the boosters are are different. You may be able to adjust them to work with the opposing MCs, but I have not heard of anyone doing that.

and its NOT a TYPE S!!!!!! the Master cylinders are slightly different on the mounting surface. I forget exactly, but one has a small area notched out to prevent one from fitting onto the other.

yes i agree on the master cylinder part..one hole is bigger than the other...found that out after.
As for the booster itself the SI has a longer rod inside it which caused my front brakes to lock up completely after driving it for a mile or so after heating. I had to release the built up back pressure on the master cylinder itself to release the brakes. Finally i switched the booster for a 90 accord sedan non ABS..works great.

The reason i couldn't use my old one after i removed it was Bcus i used it as core charge for the ABS one..which i had no idea was ABS.
