When replacing tie rods, the inner one comes with that clip that you put over the splines and kind of holds it in place I suppose once you tighten it down... Well I did my tie-rods a few weeks ago, and my car is still veering left and right while cruising down the highway so I assume my steering rack has gone bad.... It's a 92 DX Hatch, so maybe it's the bushings or w/e but nonetheless I went to the U-Pull yesterday and found a cleannnnn *** dx hatch with a rack in place and the bushings look meaty so I snagged it up... Well I'm going to put it on right now, and reuse my new tie rods, but can I reuse that clip from the inner tie rods..?? Anytime I've ever taken tie rods off that clip is always broken, so if mine breaks when removing the tie rod is it necessary to replace that, or is it just an added security kind of piece..?? Thanks..
