my sensor wont reset so i cannot passsmog but i have a d16y8 in the car which is from a 00 coupe (right?) so what o2 sensor would i have to purchase, or what would the problem be? it passes all the emissions test too, one of my friends said it might be the ecu.

I don't have any clue about passing smog(ohio) but maybe reset the ecu if he thinks its the ecu? If not I couldn't imagine a "specific" o2 sensor would be needed... Just pick one up on ebay or at pepboys/auto zone.

 

whats keeping it from passing smog? A Y8 can come from a 96-00 civic... You would get an 02 sensor for a civic from 96-00. Just make sure its an up stream or down stream sensor... If you can find someone with a scanner have the check it out.

 

How do you know its an o2 code? What ecu is in the vehicle?
