Hi all
I recently installed a new A/C compressor and Drier on my 01 lude. I took it to an auto mechanic to have the system evacuated and recharged, all was good, cold air was blowing but the mechanic noticed that the compressor cycles on and off frequently every 2 seconds. He recommended the A/C low pressure switch be replaced.
My question is, do i have to evacuate the system again to replace the switch? or does it have some sort of check or Schrader valve to allow the system to maintain pressure?

 

I ended up taking it to the shop to have it replaced. it does need to be evacuated prior to removing the switch.
