i have a jdm b18c engine with orginal distributor, and a usdm si/d16y8 engine harness.

i just found out that the harness plug for the distributor doesnt match. did the ebay guy gave me a wrong engine harness? he said it was off from civic ex manual. si and y8 should have the same distributor plug, dont they?

From what i recall, thos is a common issue, but easy to fix. You have 2 options.....

- buy a distributor plug adaptor

- cut a pigtail from an integra or 99-00 civic Si engine harness from a junkyard and swap it to your original harness

 

99-00 dx/lx/ex have the 8 pin plug for the distributor.

 

can i use the jdm distributor wit my si engine harness? i noticed jdm has 9 pins and my engine harness have 8 pins and cyp ground seems will not pin in the jdm distributor
