Default re-using diff bearings?

I have a Quaife differential that I am installing into my S4C tranny, and there aren't/weren't any shims in the case. I know the tranny is good, as I drove the car before I pulled it. What I need to know is can I re-use the bearings(sealed btw), if so, how do I tell if the bearings are still good to use? They roll freely, and have no play. Does that mean they are still good to go?

They are cheap to replace $25 for the pair...I would install a new set There should be a thrust shim in the main case?

Here is a list of sizes

Very true, I was just wondering if it were overkill. Thanks, I will check to see if there is a shim there.

All LSD's I install get fresh diff bearings. You can flat spot the ball bearings when pulling them off.
