Default civic question

Hi everyone new to the site nice to meet u

I am having a problem with my civic dx d15 b7 non vtech, so anyways, car pretty much wont let me go over around 3500-4000 rpm if I am giving it more than quarter throttle. It feels like I hit rev limiter or get a massive fuel cut or something. I changed the distributor, wires plugs, throttle body checked for loose injectors, did a valve adjustment nothing worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Map and TPS plugs reversed? Don't know why they would be. Have you done a tune up since you've owned it?

I got it for pretty cheap clean body, suspension and some super clean gt3's anyways my boy is supposed to be honda specialist he said all it needed was a valve adjustment so I bought it. Was planning on doing a swap anyways but my mustang got stolen and striped so now all my money is going into rebuilding that freaking sucks luckily I work a mile from my house so I dont have to worry about having a car
