97 HX Need a new Cat but dont want to spend the $ quietest header/exhaust combo?
I am looking at doing a tuneup on my 97 HX I bought for a daily... I have been looking around there isnt much listed for the E-Vtec engine which is in my HX. Anybody have any tips? I am just looking to get the best fuel mileage I dont want it to be loud at all. And I am pretty sure I have the header/cat combo and thats $$$. Rather just go with an aftermarket system.
Car has 191K miles on it I put about 2K miles on a month and will be driving it in winter to. So perferably something that wont rust bad.

if your looking to get a new cat and you dont want to spend a grip on a new one for the HX i suggest getting the CAT off a EX model and use the 96-98 ex headers.......thats what im doing now....
also the HX headers and cat are the same off the LX and DX models... ..
its not hard to find on the market ... gl
and if you want to do tune up. ngk wires/ spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, distributor rotor and cap, PCV valve, ignition timing

Are you absolutely positively certain you need a new exhaust/catalytic converter for your car? What made you come to the conclusion you need a new cat?
