Since when is a Garrett turbo a high-dollar item? All of their journal bearing turbos are between $600-900 and the BB line are under $1500....that's not too bad. Try looking at Subaru aftermarket turbos once...you'll have a different opinion on whats expensive. I dont think you can upgrade to ANYTHING for less than $900. Most are in the $1200-1600 range

it's already turbocharged but my ebay turbo is shot and I need to get a new one, so I might as well get a somewhat reliable one now. The car is my daily.

they make one that does if you require an internal gate. the other option for an internal gate that you would love is a disco potato, it's more money but it's a rock solid ball bearing turbo. the garrett name is gt28rs
the internal gate super 60

Different flanging. Pick what you're trying to do first with the exhaust manifold, then make a fitment decision, not the other way around.

The GO-Autowerks team makes fantastic stuff for the D-series. You really should check them out.
Stop playing games with this guessing stuff. Get a real HP goal, get some real equipment that will last forever, like from these guys, and support a growing American business
. Ebay for you is out of the question. If you're on a low budget, then save and wait until you get it all from one spot. then you don't have problems.

Could run a junk yard turbo off like a volvo or something... For 250 most any stock turbo will get you where you need to be. Im just say cheap wise that would work but shodan is pretty correct.
a super 60 is not even close to a 60 trim. the 60 trim is WAY too big for your goal, the super 60 is not. keep asking questions and reading up. you'll get it dialed sooner or later
