good morning guys, im sure these topics has been covered plenty of times so just bare with me.
1st- I bought this gsr engine from local junkyard a yr ago
and need to know if theres.anything I can do to check of valves and pistons other then crankin it by hand.tryin to avoid takimg the engine apart.

2nd- when I get the.engine checked and.ready to connect.with.tranny,is there a.certain way im supposed to set the tranny b4 installing.

You could use a scope with a cam on it... That way you can see all the walls and top of pistons.. Next would be a leak down test.. Putting on a trans is pretty forward.. Just line up the input shaft and slide it together.
