Default Will the stock sleeves be ok? b16a2 noob

Getting all my eggs together before I start. Planning on rebuilding a b16 with rods and pistons for a turbo. The only thing i'm concerned about are the sleeves and crank. Would they be alright under 350hp maybe 400hp at the strip? I'm new btw.

You will be fine with both. Honda cranks are good upwards to 700hp and stock sleeves have been pushed more than 400. It all depends on the tune

That's what I figured. I just wanted to make sure. Just need to find a good tuner in NE Ohio.

I'd like to run e85 but the nearest gas station that sells it is a 30 min drive.

I'v heard that Big3Racing in Medina does really good tunes for Hondas. They are located in Medina.

That's where I have planned to get mine tuned. 600 bucks for ECTune, that includes the $200 license fee for the program.

http://big3racing.net/ This is their website. Has a couple of the hondas they have tuned on there.

i think over 400whp youre pushing youre luck on pump gas...mine cracked and was tuned at 390whp...although the tune was done in 70 degree weather...and it cracked on a cold night 20 degrees....so clearly it was making more power. i also bored it to 81.5mm im sure that makes them weaker as well... 1500 $ later got Darton mid's and o-ringed. Although i agree its all in the tune...but generally speaking over 400whp with pump gas you have a greater risk.
