Icon3 B series with darton sleeves experiencee!!!

I picked up my ls block yesterday that i sent to install the mid darton sleeves when i got home i found out that the first sleeve was totally sealed agains the block but the other three have a little gap around them. (top view of the block) Maybe it was cutted too much (like a milimeter) at the machine shop. First time using darton sleeves. Is this ok? Sorry i couldnt upload the pics!! any experience?? any advice??

i have a fully built 84mm darton sleeve sunk # 4 sleeve 4th dyno pull,, there only good if the machine work is done 100% correct and most local machine shops will **** it up, thats where i went wrong i took it to a shop who specialized in v8's locally to me instead of shipping it out,

Maybe adding a ''O'' ring groove would help.
Just a thought, It may make things worse although
What is the bore size?
Most machine shops will not admit they cannot do a job properly.
We offer in house sleeve install only to regulate the quality.

If I understand well, the machining process leaves a lip that the tapered edge of the new sleeve sits on, approximately 1.5mm to 2.00mm, you then add APR hardware and torque up on these small lips.
so long as the machining process is perfect and the block doesn't contain any porous area's on the finished lip you have half a chance.
