Ok so I recently bought a new AC belt from auto zone for my gsr and put it on 8/31. Ever since then this thing has be making noise. The only time it doesn't make any noises is from a cold start or if i put some gas on the pedal. I have even tried putting wd40 on the belt and still doesnt work

So does anyone have any suggest of what problem i am facing and how can i fix it?

could it be because its new and needs time to break in

 

Check belt tension.

Its a 94 gsr, its a really annoy sound, i guess you can call it a squeal, but as i said when i put gas down and from a cold start nothing

sorry man i was at work, i do it after school, Ill tell you how it goes

 

had the same problem i just tightend the tensioner and it was good,the noise stoped

Step 1- Cut belt
Step 2- remove all A/C componates
Step 3- Enjoy a couple extra HP.

Just tighten the belt. There shold be a little play in it, but just a little. I think like 1/4" of movement? I usually just do mine by feel....

 

So i replaced my pcv valve and i havent heard any loud squealing coming from my car. I let yall know if i have problems again

 

I have not heard of using WD-40, as a belt lube/dressing.
Is that as good as using Armour All?

 

not sure, but the WD-40 i put on the belt didnt help at all lol

 

also lube the tensioner pulley

 

Just do what fcm said and tension the belt. I had the same problem, tensioned my belt today, and no more squeal.
