What are you guys using with no carpet to protect your ECU?
Just recently gutted the carpet in my EG sedan. I am wondering what people are doing to protect the ECU from water? We have some pretty harsh winters around here and I would like to take some extra precautions to make sure it stays dry.
those that remove carpet are basically are either converting to full race cars, or at least wanting to be full race cars, and don't drive them in the rain or in-climate weather. For those that do, they basically make a water-sealed "box" to seal it in, in the floor board.
maybe i'm dumb, but I run no carpet because well mine got all wet and moldy and can't find another one, and I DD this car in rain, snow, sleet or ice and well nothing has happend to me yet and i've been driving it like that for 8 months now haha
You can go to a few places like Katzkin, ACC and a few others to get new carpet that's molded to your chassis. I don't think you're looking hard enough.
Im actually ratting my civic out. The carpet was nasty anyway. I haven't looked, I was hoping there were a few different ways to go about it.
