im planning on getting an alarm installed.. probably an alpine.. just wondeirng how much it is.. so i know what to look for when i shop around.. how much did u guys pay for your alarm installed out the door?

I paid 900 cdn for mine.

so 580 or so USD.

IT's the clifford concept 600. Has pretty much the works besides a remote starter. but everything from light sensors to tilt sensors.

Oh yeah, Proximity alarm is the best.

Dude chill, the whole point of an alarm is security. The more people know about the security you have, the more useless it becomes. Alot of posts like this getted locked because people annoyingly ask "so what type do you have?"

I had the top of the line one on my EK, with the proximity sensor and everything, i liked it, but the siren was just too quiet in comparison to the DEI's

well basically i used to have the aladdin 2000 and i payed i think 250 for it and Car Toys installed it for 100 bux but i had to wait 7 hours there because they didnt know how to install it since it was hard .... so i dont know .... if you want it because i don tknow if someone would install for you and if they do it woudlnt be cheap @ all so ... pay before you have them do it so they dont charge you for extra labor thats my opinion ITS A GREAT ALARM.. and people are like wtf is that a cellfone hehehe ~!

 

Very good alarm...would highly recommend it, the local shop charges ~$1500 installed with all of the bells and whistles on that alarm. My installation was free, as an installer friend did it for me in his garage, so that he and I were the only ones that knew anything about how it was installed...

 

$600+ on security.
