Racepak's ***SOHC BUILD*** D16 What?
Hi guys,
so i spun some bearings a few month ago on my old vitara d16 and decided to get a new engine and go at it again,
new setup:
d16 stock sleeves
vitara 75.5
eagle rods
arp studs
oem head gasket
new oem ported oil pump
moroso 5.5l oil pan and larger pickup
ported z6 head
bisimoto 3.6 cam
bisimoto pro springs and titanum reteiners
supertech flat valves
venom intake manifold
miniram manifold + tial 38
garrett t3/4 57 trim (soon to be replaced with a 3076)
3" exhaust
treadstone tr10 intercooler
Motec m4 ems
AEM EPM
AEM TWIN FIRE
AEM COILS
fuel injector clinic 850cc injectors
S40 B00
OBX LSD
ACTION MS2 CLUTCH
TOYO R888

had to do some mods to fit the bisimoto 3.6 cam

Hey what bearings are you running? I'm building a setup very similar to yours but my rod bearings clearances are really tight. What were your clearances on rods with the eagles?

i didnt micropolished the cranck, the engine is basicly new,
i didnt used fjt rods since i didnt knew my piston to valve clearance until i had the bisimoto cam,

i had to cut the some of the rocker arms since they hit the spacers on the intake side rocker arms,
and i also had to remove some of the casting in the cam oil pools,
and i also had to remove some of the casting in the cam oil pools,
very clean setup. looks good. cant wait to get my turbo setup going soon. if it looks half as clean as that id be happy with it lol. im feelin the oil pan. i def want to pick one of those up.
i'm doing the break in with oem ecu and injectors, i will swap to the cop when after ill finis the 1000 miles,

Yes. 3.6 in stock z6 head. If its hitting, I can't tell. I do think though that I have a LMA going down. Was yours physically hitting?
