No matter what tune is on there now. If you are the person who removed the turbo. You now need a new tune. Crome, eCtune, Neptune or Hondata are the usual options. In order to know what tune is on there you will need a chip reader and the software to read it. Sometimes looking inside the ECU could give you a hint as to the Program in use. Hondata and Neptune chipped ECUs are different from older Crome & eCtune ECUs.

When you take the cover off and look inside an ECU, with the wire connectors to your left. The chipped or modified area of the ECU will always be in the lower right corner of the circuit board/ECU.

Here are a couple different examples;

eCtune or Neptune Demon ECU

Older Neptune RTP,

rectangle circuit board connected via computer ribbon, may or may not be mounted on ECU cover.

Hondata ECU

The circuit board you see above the Hondata board is the stock knock board (P30/P72) The P28 does not have a knock board.

Crome and older eCtune ECU,
