4bar Map Sensor!!
I recently Made a Fully Built Mini-me Turbo Y8head/Y7 block.. I was looking to get a 4bar map sensor to increase boost to 20psi. I came across this link of a guy who purchased a 4bar chip to install into your factory Map Sensor http://www.jairusmartin.com/blog/cov...-4-bar-sensor- The chip comes out to 20 dollars after shipping, I figured I give it a try and save $ ,currently working on it but what a bich it was to take it apart, I'd rather spent the 90 dollars on buying one,lol.. Anyway I also have a 3bar Map Sensor from a 90-94 Eagle Talon,90-05 Mitsubishi Eclipse and 03-06 Mitsubishi EVO VIII Has anyone here used one of this before? I see most use GM 3bar map sensor...

The problem would be being able to input this particular map sensor into your engine management system. Even though the range of three bar is the same from GM to Motec or whatever, they all have a slightly different curve (although realistically they SHOULD be linear)

Re: 4bar Map Sensor!!
I actually have a P28 ECU with XENOCRON base map chip but it was only ordered for the Stock 1.5 bar map sensor on my EK.. I'm not sure if you can make one for the Mitsubishi 3bar map sensor I mentioned, if so once I'm done finishing my Honda 4bar map sensor tonight I might Order 2 chips from you, one for the 4bar and one for the 3bar and see which works best...Here's the Data Sheet for the Digi-Key 4bar chip I'm installing tonight..http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...PXH6400AC6U-ND

The motorola sensor is easy...I would suggest don't waste your time or money on the mitsu 3 bar, i don't see any benefit unless you are tuning this yourself and have the means and equipment to do that sort of calibration and testing yourself

Re: 4bar Map Sensor!!
Well thanks for the Info, didn't know you sold a 2.5 map sensor other than Hondata 4bar.. So much for my DIY job tonight, those pins are so close together on that chip I couldn't get it right and one of them burned out,lol.. Trashed.. I will order my next Xenocron chip along with that 2.5 map sensor or the Hondata one.. thanks!!
