Default b16 high idle problem

cant see to get the warm idle any lower than about 1000-1100 rpms. set screw is all the way tight. With iac unplugged, the idle drops to about 900rpms. what other adjustments is there? All vacuum lines are correct.

take off your fitv and and unbolt the two 8mm bolts you'll see a white screw plug use two screw drivers and tighten it down don't force it tighten it until snug, it can become loose overtime not closing properly after your car is warmed up during initial start up, causing a vacuum leak, also check to see if your iacv is clogged if it is clean it.

from my own adjustments, when i unplug the iacv the idle is very low to a point where the car is going to die, i readjusted my fitv and clean out my iacv with some simple green and it idles right at 750 now, when your iacv is unplugged if its clog and you try to adjust your idle will still be off

If your IACV has been cleaned its probably your FITV. Take it apart as stated above and clean it real well. Then make sure the plastic dome is screwed all the way in. Also you can adjust your dizzy forward or backwards to adjust idle while the is on.

As others have suggested, clean IACV and tighten FITV.

Make sure that your engine timing is correct and that the ignition timing is correct. Then adjust idle using this sequence.

Have you pulled off your throttle position sensor recently? if you re-install it wrong it will hold the throttle open slightly. Did it to mine once on accident.

just a curious question, would a crv tb work the same as my b16 one? friend has one, and i can not tell if they are the same size. If it will work ill just swap them first to see if that fixes it! plus it should help me clean up my firewall!
