Default Need Some Car Help....FD RX-7 or DSM ?

I'm selling my 01 GSR I loved my Teg, but I need to pay off some school bills right now as well as other bills which have been mounting. Right now, I have the option of buying a yellow 93 RX-7 TT for 7500 (it has front bumper damage, no headlights or hood and has 65k miles) or i could buy a 1g or 2g AWD turbo DSM. I don't NEED a car that is going to be really reliable like my Teg was since this car is not going to be long term or anything. The only thing that scares me is the rotary engine since i don't have any experience with them and have heard bad things about them. I am very familiar with the 4G63 since I have worked on them before and know what they're about. So what do you guys think should i get the RX-7, or buy the DSM? With either car I'm looking to build a street/track monster that's why I am considering these two at the moment. I really need some advice here...thanks guys.

FC is better... dotn look as good as the FD, but imo it handles and drives better...

I am looking for a project car, since I need my teg for a daily driver. These are my two highest choices. The 1g awd eclipse is cheap, and can be fast for little money. The FD looks gorgeous, is more expensive for initial purchase and modifying. The FC may be a good compromise, but I would take a 1g awd eclipse over the FC. AWD owns all. But the rex is so pretty

definetly the FD.....my friend owned one and all you really need to do is worry about cooling....cause once you overheat those things they blow up.....so if you do get one....do coolant flushes and check the thermostat and check/replace fluid all the time...oh and dont mod/turn up the boost unless you know alot about the motor/what your doing

whatever you heard about rotary engines, throw it out the window! they have 1/3 the amount of parts of a piston engine, and as long as you keep oil level in check (which keeps the apex -basically fuction of a piston ring- seals lubricated) you will be fine. these engines can take upwards of 12000 rpm with no added parts except for a port job. and if you want to boost more, just have your engine mildly ported and have the proper fuel system to back it up. FD/FC all the way!!

and yes these engines run about 200-300 degrees hotter than a piston engine, so cooling is a concern and something that also you must keep in check. dont get me wrong, these are high maintenance cars

and NEVER use synthetic oil on a rotary engine.. it glazes the rotor housing walls (equivalent of a cylinder wall) and compression will suffer! remember these engines INTENTIONALLY inject oil into the combustion chamber to lubricate the apex seals and therefore oil burning is regular (uses about a quart every 1500 miles)
