Just started doing it yesterday, the shifter is stuck in Park and the only light working on the gear display is Neutral. I was able to manually unlock the shifter so I could drive it but I must get it fixed ASAP.

Check the Brake Pedal Position Switch for failure. This will affect the gear shifter.

 

brake pedal switch. its probably missing the plastic pad on the switch, its less than $5 to fix the problem

 

are your brake lights working?

 

Brake position switch, common problem. Just replace it.
