Default D16A into my 1996 Civic EX. what do i need?

I've been looking at information on the internet the past couple hours and I've found a variety of information, but not much factual information.

I have a D16A (yes D16A) that I'm putting into my 1996 civic EX. I currently have the stock motor ,d16y8, running on a P2P ECU in there. I've read around and it looks like the P28 ecu runs the best with a D16A. Can anyone confirm?

Also as far as mounts. Am I going to be able to use the mounts that are already on the D16A and just slip it right in there? I plan on getting some Hasport mounts while it's out.

As far as the wiring harness. Will I be able to just keep my current harness or what?

Any information helps. I know people don't believe the D16A exists. I'll upload pictures and the stamp in a second.

What's up with this intake?

Kind of hard to read but it says "D16A" and there are no numbers/letters after it.

what you have there is a fancy boat anchor that's out of a 88-91 dx/cx civic it's duel point injection (only 2 injector's) they have no power maybe 90hp if your lucky and the p28 is from a 92-95 civic si D16z6 stick with your y8 and do some research hope you didn't spend to much on it

It does appear to have a VTEC solenoid right underneath the breather that is wrapped in plastic. All hope isn't lost just yet. Check around the top of the head on the exhaust manifold face, there should be a code cast into the head, P-08 or P2T or something similar. This will indicate which head you actually have. Also, look for a circular stamp with two numbers on the same face, this will tell you which year the head came from. As for the block, you won't know what pistons are in there for sure unless you open it up but it's 1.6 so as long as it's straight and it's usable, you should be ok.

I do recall the D16A supposedly being from the EURO market and essentially was just a Z6. Once you confirm a couple of things then you'll be able to tell what you got. Also, the manifold is infact from older style DPFI setups. Toss it, you won't need it...or want it for that matter.

The thing wrapped in plastic is a small breather filter coming off of the valve cover. You can see it clearly in the first pic.

it ran fine when it was in my sisters old ef. and it's definitely not 90hp. it has the most hp of any d16 actually. and this engine has a bunch of mods.
and i technically got the motor for free along with the ef.
and the breather filter is wrapped with a plastic bag to keep it protected i believe.
also i do know that the d16a is an EDM motor. "EDM as F*ck" hahah. it's quite rare.

so what should i do with the intake? get a different intake manifold or what?

i really think you need to search if that was in an ef it's obd0 and only has 2 injectors so good luck trying to run that in your car, also no vtec maybe its rare for a reason it's JUNK.

From what I've gathered from hours of countless searching. That is not the D16Z6 you are thinking of. I have a D16A in my del sol that you're talking about.
