Default New guy here

im going to be getting a k20 for my 98 honda civic 4dr. i was woundering does anyone know if its harder to drop the k20a in or is it the same as the regular k20

Probably the same. Just need HAP K20 harness kit. Both motors have vtec, so you'll have to wire that unless your Civic is already an EX.

naw i have the dx. cause im getting the engine for chirstmas. do you know if the engine falls in the same place as my old motor mounts?

The answer to your question about your mounts is no, your mounts will not work. You are going to need a new wiring harness, mounts and axles.

You will need to Reweld some radiator mounts and thats about all i can think of that needs actual welding

Depending on the header you might need to modify (weld) part of your exhaust.

If you plan to be the one installing this motor, Then i would do some serious searching here on H-t about how to perform this sawp. These motors are not the same or as easy as dropping a b series into your car.

This is one (if not the most) the most advanced swaps for honda's. Like stated before, if you plan on doing this yourself I suggest you do a lot of research. http://www.k20a.org is a great site for info on the swap.

Oh, and I wish I was getting a k20 for christmas.
