Default noob question...

what is the best intake manifold to run for my all motor set up?

B20v setup
gsr head stage 5 port
b20b block 84.5 mm bore
weisco 13:1 pistons
stock rods
gsr crank
acl race bearings
skunk2 internals
skunk2 pro 3 cams
competition stage 5 clutch and ultra light flywheel
aem fuel rail and fpr
RC 750injectors

might be forgetting a few other things but plan on using a 70tb btw

The stock rods are weak. You might want to replace them. Here's a link to one of my friends b20vtec builds that he wanted advice on. https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...ec+build+plans http://www.azht.net/forum/showthread.php?t=154076 The 70mm tb is pretty big unless your going to boost it down the road. Also those cams are pretty aggressive if this will be your DD.

The one that provides you optimal power and anyone tells you different is just guessing until you do some testing. Rethink or rephrase your question for suggested recommendations to test with.

With the compression and displacement you have the Performer X would suit that setup well. Anything smaller I feel would be causing restriction. Get that TB port-matched and call it a day.

The performer x typically does considerably better on a motor with the supporting mods for it.

performer x is actually better on a 1.8 motor skunk2 is nice i personally like the aebs thats what im running on my b20vtec with gsr head i like the design of the aebs for the p72 gsr head better then most other intakemanifolds and they prove to make a bit more power then most others. plus the cost

**** i meant to say victor x in my original post...performer x will be a bit to small for this setup. Im not a fan of Junk2's IM's.

to be honest the amount of money already put into the motor, if you had the $ and tuning ability itbs would make a world of diffrence, also are you looking for low to mid range or high end? the edlebrock victorx is great but its power range is set for higher rpms, not that it dosnt perform well mid and low just others can do better for torque but not knockin the victor x its a beast top end wise

Wrong stock rods are not fine with forged pistons. They won't even work unless he has the machine shop alter the clips. And even then its a waste of money. If you were going the rs itr piston route I would say go ahead but imo I would not cheap out on a crucail part of your motor.

Looking at the parts list and how this motor is being built top end performance is my guess for what he is looking to get out of it. 13:1, stage 5 port, pro 3 cams....definately not looking for a street performance motor. But I see where you are coming from with your comment.

Stock rods and good pistons have been done with excellent results. Sorry that you feel the latter. hahah

Really..? Im suprised to hear that from a "OG" with old school ways. I guess to me it just doesnt make sense to spend all that money on quality parts and not get eagle rods or used eagle rods. Dont get me wrong stock rods with arp bolts are strong( thats what i have in my lsvtec turbo budget build). But if i had my motor apart i would upgrade. By the time you get all the machine work done so the rods will work with the pistons and get the rod bolts re sized you almost got some eagle rods. Im just saying...

as far as the intake manifold goes ive heard good things about the ported itr manifold on 2.0
