Default My first build....

Allow me to reintroduce myself my name is HOV....

J/P

no pic of the body but is in great shape to me the only thing that matters is the bay.

Before i go on i want to thank my wife and baby girl for everything.Thanks to my brother for also his big part in this.

Also thanks to My Performance shop P.F.I. SPEED out in Johnstown,Colorado
they have gone far beyond i could have ever asked from them.
now for the project.This is only going to be a track car,im in the break in steps but again is my first build.

Head
supertech valves and springs
skunk2 tuner 1 cams
skunk2 TB
edelbrock im
stock port

Fuel
ID 1000
Fullblown dual w/340's pushing the fuel
running 8- feed and 6 return.
Stuck on which fuel to run.

Block
Golden eagle stamped (RACE) sleeved block 83mm
Arias forged pistons
GRP rods
stock gsr crank.
Full-race manifold
Precision sc63 to a backdoor cooler.

Trans
Gsr trans
Comp clutch stage 5 sprung.
Pro drive axles with spool. (sucks to drive)

electrical
Rywire mil-spec quick disconnect harness
Msd digital 6
Hondata p28 with s300/B.B.G


Im open for advice, looking to hit 450-500 whp.

I Know alot of vets have hit that goal in less built motors. I'm wanting to have this as just a track car and (doing it the right way). But again open for advice.

you can make that on pump 93. the dual hanger setup is a bit overkill for that IMO.

i would replace the spool with an lsd. there's no reason for it.

sorry should have said goal for this year.did the dual to plan for future.
will use the spool but lsd I would like to.

Yeah, if you're planning on driving it anywhere other than the drag strip, definitely get rid of the spool, give MFactory a call, and get an LSD.

you can drive a fwd car with a spool, just takes extra muscle to turn, more so at low speeds... you'll cause a bit of tire wear as both wheels will turn the same speed when turning. also you could potentially break things like axles due to the extra strain placed on the shafts and CVs when turning.

be careful if stuck in rain though, a spool will cause so many safety issues

it's basically like driving a 240 with a welded diff, you get used to the tire skipping noise and learn to be careful in the rain lol.

Just wanted to update now after having the car tuned. very happy with the outcome of the build.

Here is the dyno sheet.
ended up with 584 @ 20 PSI. on C16.

Have video of dyno but cant figure out how to change avchd video to jpeg.
will post when i figure it out..... google is your friend.
