Progress rear sway bar and TWM shifter bushings?
Gonna be ordering both this week to have put on when I get my oil changed here real soon and was wanting to hear some more opinions on them. I've heard that both are very nice upgrades and play their roles well. I have an '11 Si coupe with HFP sport suspension and am expecting the rear sway bar upgrade to be a big difference. Anybody have this combo and can day its worth it? Do the bushings make shifts feel more smoother than stock?
I have a used progress rear sway bar for sale.
But I had the sway on my si when I had it and it was a big upgrade. Definatly a noticable difference.

The rear sway bar will help you out a good bit with handling characteristics (I helped a friend install one,and I got their Si rear sway bar on my R18). the shifter bushings I heard give your shifting a smoother/notchier feel when you change gears.
I had a progress 22mm bar on my 06 si, it did make a big difference in the car, I have an eibach on the new car and I'm not sure if it's just a softer suspension or the bar isn't as firm.
I had urethane (Torque Solutions) shifter bushings and it did tighten up the rubbery feel of the shifter.

The shifter bushings probably won't do much especially in a brand new car where the bushings really haven't worn down at all yet.
And, are you talking about the cable shifter bushings or the shifter base bushings??
The cable bushings are actually at the end of the shifter cable (on top of the tranny). I would suggest Hybrid Racing instead of TWM for those (look at the 2 designs; the hybrids look better).
The shifter base bushings are nothing more than the bushings that the actual shifter sits on when bolted inside your center console.
If you really want a big difference, I would suggest the TWM full replacement shifter (I'm running it) with a weighted (heavier) shift ****. It just seems like a waste to put in the shifter base bushings if you're not swapping out the whole assembly (since you have to almost take out the whole assembly to get to those bushings.

Progress is now including the plates in the sway bar kit, so you don't have the problems with the links ripping out .
I think the plates are for guys who really get into it, not for everyday drivers.
You can buy the plates separately if you wish.

Yea it came with the reinforcement brackets. Not looking like I'll get some track time in this year before winter comes, but next year forsure.
Be careful when removing your endlinks (if you want to re-use them). I think you need a 6mm (or 5mm) allen wrench. I ended up stripping one of mine and having to saw off the dang thing; lucky for me I had some used endlinks that came with the sway bar.
Car is still new, only 7k miles so I wouldn't imagine it being a problem. But got it all installed today. Love the difference in steering response with it. I've only taken on one sharp turn real hard, but it didn't fight me one bit. Buddy forgot to install the reinforcement tabs though. But I won't be making it to the track any this year so it won't be an immediate problem. I'll probably have him throw them on next oil change.
I noticed they say you can weld the reinforcement tabs onto the lower control arm for a more secure bracket. Anybody done this? I'm thinking about doing that just as a precaution.

I plan to weld mine on next time I am at my friends house where he has a lift. For now I bolted mine on. Its 2 decent sized bolts and also the end link bolt holding it on so I don't see there being a ton of gain from welding it. It will look nicer welded though.
