What does direct port nitrous injection mean?

Default What does direct port nitrous injection mean?

same as the topic. The people at the shop that hooked up my speakers said their civic had direct port nitrous injection, was just wondering what exactly that meant

it means that it has a nitrous fogger nozzle in each cylinder... but most likely they just watched Fast & the furious too much...

so is it continuously spraying or do you still have to push a button? someone told me there was a import shop in the town next to mine that built a prelude that sprayed when you shifted gears.. sounds cool if its real

No it's still on a button... why would it be cool during shifts? Do you get power during your shifts? I mean it might be ok if he built it to run mid-range so he sprayed his way thru low-end to his powerband but still a dumb thing
