So i have a honda del sol 95 b16 and i always noticed this button on my ac unit. this button doesnt push in or out. i always wondered why that was there. so eventually i started messing with the button and popped it out one time. behind it i noticed an actual button that pushes in and out. I have no idea what it does or what's its function. I believe my del sol was built without ac(but im not sure) and i noticed on other del sols that same button is the ac button. so i was wondering does anyone have a clue what this button does or do? i dont know if the previous owner installed something for the button or not or if its always been there.

did you swap in that b16? don't think they would have made one without AC but who knows.

it's the AC button. my S model looks like yours. my SI has the AC button there.

my car has a b16 orginaly. it came that way. my car also doesnt have any of the ac components. or not that i know of. i believe all the ac parts are gone. either taken out or came without it. but i do know the ac isnt in my car.

heres the odd part. if it is the ac button, then why doesnt the button push in when the cap is on(in the first picture) its only when u take off the cap(2nd picture) then u can push it in and out.

besides i looked up yahoo images and i noticed for other del sols. that button says ac on it. mine is clearly blank

i heard some del sols came without ac, is that true?

 

not every del sol came with ac. mine doesnt have it, and my button looks exactly like that. its just a block off plate.

Im glad you posted this, I want to find out if the button behind the block off plate is as still function-able if some wires are hooked up to it

 

^ if you can click it in without the plate over it then you should be able to wire it up and install ac to work. i dont see why you couldnt.

 

so im assuming its the ac button and it can be wired up for ac? so as of right now on my car that button doesnt do anything since i dont have ac right?
