Default NASA Nationals 2011

This is coming up pretty soon. I know most of the talk is occurring elsewhere, but I'm wondering if anyone from the Chicago area is going to race or spectate? Looking for someone to potentially transport something for me if so

What is it that needs transportation or how big is it? I'm driving from Sacramento, CA (2347.9 miles ONE WAY!) to Mid-Ohio. I might be able to help if it's small enough. I decided to leave my enclosed trailer at home and take the open trailer to get better fuel mileage and cut down on fuel costs!!!

It's Splitime's towhitch (hopefully), for a Miata. Adam, you know exactly how big it is. I'm guessing 3-4ft long? Not too big, but also bigger than some brake rotors or something.

Jonathon,
Thats 4695.8 miles round trip. Yikes!
Please tell me you have more than one driver for the truck.
I used to do those across country trips once upon a time.
Now I fly everywhere.
I cringe at the thought of that kind of a trip.
Good Luck at Mid Ohio. Bring back the title to nor cal.
I'll be contacting you when you get back.

Paul

Yeah 4700 miles round trip!!! They'll be 3 of us in my truck, hoping to drive straight thru Plus, I have to do an oil change in my Duramax truck when we get to Mid-O. Usually I fly too, but no one in nor cal can transport my car to nationals this year
Thanks for the good luck wishes. Our team will need it, seeing that running the K24 in H1 is new for us! *gulp*

Feel free to contact me anytime

jonathan

Meris, when are you planning on going through the Chicago/Joliet area? And does that sound like it might fit?

I'm hoping to be in the Chicago/Joliet area around late Sunday or Monday. It shouldn't be a problem to fit it in my truck/trailer. I'll be taking I-80 from CA, once we get to Illinois, I'm not sure which highway we'll be on en route to OH. pm me your number and I can get in touch with you before I leave to give you a heads up.
