convert the car to obd 1 so you don't have to worry about fuel maps and vtec engaging. plus the car runs better with the right ecu

Which ECU are you using then? (Guessing PM6) How are you activating the VTEC?

If you get a Zdyne conversion (easiest route, vs. obd-1 conversion) they'll put in the proper Z6 fuel and timing maps in there. You could gain a bit of HP - but look at your torque numbers! If those numbers are at the wheels, then that's better than any ZC or B16.

im using a apex vafc and crx si ecu, and those numbers are SAE corrected @wheels... oh yea, and with my silencer in i hit 108tq but lost 1hp... i can always put it bck on the dyno and mess a round with it some more...my timing is set at around 17-18deg...

when I did this swap, I used the stock pm6 ecu for the swap to keep the Si Dist and used an RPM activator switch with a 4800 rpm pill in the box, then got a ride in one that had the right ecu and dist and it was alot stronger, better maps......

unless u get a Zdyne 1 wire ECU....
i tell u to do the OBDI conversion and run the P28....
or go cheap use a PM6 or PG7 and a APEXi VTEC controler....

check my sig... that link might help u...

I am running pm6 on mine. had p28 wired for about two months but couldn't get it to run right all the time. had a driveability problem. pulled a little more with the p28, but still nothing like my 90 ex 4dr with 161K on stock everything. NOTHing like it. not happy at all with the d16z6. i've never ridden in a zc motored civic, but curious how much **** it has. either going zc or b16 on my next project.
