in my 93 sol, i just replaced the pressure switch, and when i turn the a/c on, I get nothing, When I jump the switch i get nothing, when I jump the switch and ground it, fans and compressor come on and a/c gets ice cold.........what can that be?

 

If you ground the same Blu/Red wire at the rear of the heater control panel, does the A/C again turn on and blow cold?

The diagram is for a Civic. Maybe the Del Sol is similar?

 

well the console is totally diff....i will have to look for it...but if i ground it and it works, what will that mean/ and the opposite?

 

If the A/C works, the heater control panel is bad. If it doesn't work, the A/C thermostat may be bad, but more tests would be needed to verify.

No. The A/C thermostat plugs into the evaporator behind the glove box.

 

how can i troubleshoot it?

 

Do the first test and go from there. In the meantime, you could also test whether the A/C turns on when you ground the Yel/Wht wire in the A/C thermostat connector.

 

just found the problem...my car didnt have a glove box when i got it, so i looked and saw that there is a connection (2 wire) right behind it that was unplugged and hidden.......pulled it out and connected it and everything worked perfectly! thanks to you showing me where to look..thanks a million!
