Icon6 suspension spring rates

So i recently moved into a new place and my car does not like the driveway. I have asked around at the honda dealer and they said it looks like my car has been dumped about 3 inches. I have a co-worker that has some old springs from his last car and ha says i can have them if i want. He is not sure of the brand but it does have the spring rates stamped onto the. the rates are 220Lbs Front / 140Lbs Rear. Is this a good spring rate? my car is a daily driver and i dont want something that will ride like crap.

lol..... If your going for looks you can spend 1200 bucks and get some tein springs that lower the car and ride good. Or you can get some skunk 2 for 250ish that ride decent and lower the car. You could also go OEM. Check and see if the car has aftermarket coilovers or if its got cut springs. If their after market you should be able to adjust them.

What type of Tein suspension are you talking about?
Skunk2 suspension is a terrible choice!

Op, What type of springs are they? 220F 140R is a pretty low rate. Even the Tein S tech which is a very soft spring has higher rates then that.

Are you keeping it dumped or are you raising it up? You never said. If you're keeping it you'll need a much higher spring rate. 500-600F/400-500R

Perfect..
Blues are OEM replacements.

I'd recommend getting koni srt if you want a soft rate and mild drop. You really should not use OEM replacement shocks. I think blues and the srt from koni are even similar in price.

You could always read the thread in my signature, it's a guide on choosing suspension.

I don't mention the koni srt. and a soft spring for a cheaper option, I may add it to the list in the future.

Stop reccomending OEM replacement shocks for a lowered car.
Sure, on paper they may work well due to rather low spring rates, BUT, OEM shocks still are not made to handle lowered cars, and increased spring rates.

You would be much better off going with the Koni Str-t, the KYB AGX, or even the skunk2 sport shock.

the springs im looking at getting are just springs not coil overs, and my friend is not sure of the brand, they were on his car when he got it. Right now on my car it has cut oem springs.

If you don't want it low just go back to stock. It's more comfortable for most people anyways.

If you want performance parts check EKForever's (can't get used to Libertariat, lol) post on recommended parts.

If you want to raise it, but not up to stock height, you'll need some sort of stiffer aftermarket lowering springs.

What springs/shocks are on the car now? Did I miss that somewhere?

^^ Cut OE springs, and I am assuming stock shocks.

There's a few issues with this thread.

One, he didn't even tell what he drives. 2, He has no clue what kind of springs they are. 3, We have no clue how much they lower the car. 4, we have no clue what car the springs even came from, and/or if they can even be used in the OP's car.
